About this Celtic chant
Celtic has very strong links with the Irish community in Scotland with the club being formed by an Irish priest in 1888. Hence there has always been strong support for the Irish Republican Army (IRA) which was initially formed in 1919 to fight for Irish Independence with senior members then forming the Irish government in1921.
